Service Description
Sarah Schenirer’s Bais Yaakov movement created a vibrant network of schools for young women, aiming to empower a new generation of Jewish women to embrace and take pride in their extraordinary status as Torah-Jews. She dedicated herself to training, preparing, and inspiring these young ladies to lead lives of true heroism, anchored in unwavering commitment to Torah values, no matter the challenges they faced. Recognizing the significance of fortifying the future mothers and leaders of the Jewish community, especially in the face of the secular and “enlightened” ideas that wreaked havoc on the Jewish world, Sarah Schenirer anticipated the dire consequences of these shifts and, with remarkable foresight, she safeguarded her young protégés from the alluring distractions of the outside world. Sarah Schenirer's passionate personality and righteous character made her a true role model for both her students and the wider Jewish community. She ignited a profound emotional connection to Hashem within her students, inspiring them to embrace their faith wholeheartedly. We will meet many of Sarah Schenirer loyal students who — with the image of their teacher, Frau Schenirer, always at the forefront of their minds — continued her legacy and planted Torah in communities around the globe. As her students confronted inhuman experiences in World War II, courageously championed Torah and defied the Nazi monsters, and fought to rebuild a destroyed community, they were guided by the light and lessons to which they had been exposed in a small, loving home in Krakow. Recordings will be available for this class. This course will be 10 sessions: June 18, 25, July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, August 6, 13, 20
