Repeating Parshiyos in the Torah

Does the Torah simply repeat itself? Sometimes it seems as if it does! This course will explore some of the many sections of the Torah that are repeated. For example: *The story of Eliezer and Rivka *Yetizias Mitzraim (Sefer Shemos, Parashas Ki Savo) *Korban Pesach *Aseres Hadibros * Eved Ivri (Mishpatim, Re'eh) *The construction of the Mishkan *The sin of the Golden Calf *The story of the Meraglim *The prohibition of mixing meat and milk *The 10 makkos (Sefer Shemos, Tehilim) Each pair of texts will be studied separately and comparatively. Reasons for the repetitions will be explored. Recordings will be available for this class. This course will be 10 sessions: June 17, 24, July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, August 5, 12, 19
