Emes L'Yaakov

Service Description

In this course, we will analyze the Parshanut methodology of Rav Yaakov Kamenetzky's Emes L'Yaakov on Tanach. Taught by Rav Yaakov's grandson, Rav Yitzchak Shurin (who received his derech in learning directly from his illustrious grandfather), this course will present new peshat interpretations contained within the Text of Tanach. Rav Shurin learned in the Chaim Berlin Yeshiva under Rav Yitzchak Hutner, zt”l. In 1977, he moved to Eretz Yisrael and joined the faculty of Yeshiva Darche Noam (Shapell’s College of Jewish Studies). He is currently the Rosh Midrasha of Midreshet Rachel V'Chaya, a division of Shapell's. Recordings will be available for this class.
